"In October of 2009, I drove my son Correy to Off The Wall to be discipled by Don and Travis. Truthfully, I hadn't heard of this ministry before, and I wanted to see for myself where God was leading my son's life. We arrived in New Philly and were welcomed by the staff. We shared a meal and spent the afternoon with Don. He asked a lot of questions to both Correy and myself to try to get to know what was happening in his life. I left that day with peace in my heart. I knew for sure that this was where Correy needed to be.
To be honest, I knew the staff would have a big challenge to face. They would need God's love, compassion, wisdom, and grace for my son. Correy didn't trust much, and to be honest didn't have a clue about discipleship when he arrived. I know that the Off The Wall staff spent many hours throughout the year loving, caring, teaching, guiding, and prayerfully disciplining my son.
I thank Off The Wall from the bottom of my heart for pouring God's love and grace into Correy and working through some tough stuff to help him to see his identify in Christ and live that out in his life. He was part of Off The Wall for two years, and I can see the difference that his learning to 'love Jesus today' has made in his life.
When I have had opportunities to visit Off The Wall, I have been so blessed. I could 'catch' the enthusiasm they have for Jesus. I am excited as God continues to grow this ministry into something so special to His heart, truly making disciples as modeled in God's Word.
I'm so grateful to Off The Wall for being involved not just in Correy's life but truly taking an interest in his family as well. Only God knows what a blessing it has been to me. "
