Parent Resources

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Thank you for allowing Off The Wall to minister to your student. As a part of the body of Christ, Off The Wall strives to continuously remain faithful to God's Word, never straying from it. We are broken people who love the Lord and desire to see the younger generation grow in relentless passion and love for following Christ. Our goal is not to glorify Off The Wall, but to glorify the One who uses us to transform lives for Him.

We understand that it can be hard to watch a young adult leave the home to live on their own. Off The Wall is here to provide students with a safe space to learn this responsibility while being surrounded by a caring, Christ-centered community.

We also want to acknowledge that a student's family relationships have a large impact on their personal growth. As your student learns and grows at Off The Wall, it is important to encourage him or her in this journey and help us push them toward Jesus. We are passionate about seeing your student grow into a strong disciple of Christ. We hope you are too.

Please utilize the resources we have for parents on our website, but feel free to reach out to us with any further questions. We'd love to get to know you.

In Christ,
Todd MacMath

Director of Operations & Programming

While at Off The Wall, it is important for students to have a support system from home that does not enable sinful behavior and encourages them to step out of their comfort zones toward God's calling for their lives.

The OTW staff seek to show God's love to your student in everything we do, and your support in their life will supplement the work of the staff while he or she is here.

You can support your student by:

  • Checking in. Ask them about what they are learning throughout the year and be a listening ear.

  • Giving them time. Growth takes time. Be patient for God to do the work in your student in His timing.

  • Prayer & trust. Pray for your student to grow, and trust that God is working through the people He has placed around him or her at OTW. Pray for OTW to proceed in godly wisdom and love in all things.

  • Updating their home church. Churches are great support systems for students. If you have the opportunity, update a student's home church on how he or she is doing throughout the year and encourage them to pray over your student's pursuit of Christ.

  • Sending care packages. Not much to be said here! Students love to receive care packages from home throughout the year.
