What We Believe.

The Bible: We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are divinely inspired, verbally and completely inerrant in the original writings and of supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:19-21)

The One True God: We believe in one sovereign God, existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, unbounded in power and measureless in love; that God is the source of all creation and that through the immediate exercise of His power all things came into being. (Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 3:22; Colossians 1:15-17)

The Lord Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus the Messiah was eternally pre-existent and is co-equal with God the Father, that He took on Himself the nature of man through the virgin birth so that He possesses both divine and human natures. (John 1:1-3; John 14:9; John 1:14; Matthew1:18-23)
We believe in His sinless life and perfect obedience to the Law; in His atoning substitutionary death, burial, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, high-priestly intercession and His personal return in power and glory. (Hebrews 4:15; II Corinthians 5:21; Luke 24:36-43; Hebrews 4:14-16; Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; II Thessalonians 2:1-8)

The Holy Spirit:  We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Son; that He was active in the creation of all things, providence and inspiration of the Holy Scriptures; that He took up special ministries on the Day of Pentecost for the church; that He regenerates, baptizes into the body of Christ, indwells, seals, fills, sanctifies, illumines, guides, enables acceptable worship, and bestows His gifts to all believers; that He restrains and convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgement. (John 14:16-1; John 16:7-11; Acts 2:1-3; I Corinthians 12:13; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 5:18; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23)

Man: We believe that God created man in His image; that because of the disobedience of our first parents at the Garden of Eden they lost their innocence and both they and their descendants were separated from God, and suffer physical and spiritual death; that all human beings, with the exception of Jesus the Messiah, are sinners by nature and choice; that because of man’s total alienation from God we believe in the necessity of the new birth for his salvation. (Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 3:1-24; Romans 5:12-21; John 3:3-5)

Salvation: We believe that Jesus the Messiah died for our sins, according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; that all who believe in Him are justified, not by works of righteousness they have done, but by His perfect righteousness and atoning blood, and that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. (John 1:12; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5-7; Acts 4:12)

The Church: We believe in one true church, the body and bride of Christ composed of all true believers; and the organization of its members in local churches for worship, for edification of believers, and for world-wide gospel witness, each church being autonomous, but cooperating in fellowship and work. (Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 5:25-32; I Corinthians 12:12-13; Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:11-16)

Christian Life:  We believe in a life of righteousness, good works, and separation unto God from the evil ways of the world, manifested by speaking the truth, maintaining the sanctity of the home, settling differences between Christians in accordance with the Word of God, showing a Christ-like attitude toward all men, exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit, and maintaining a life of prayer. (Romans 12:1-2; James 5:1; Ephesians 5:22-6:4; I Corinthians 6:1-8; Romans 12:17-21; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 6:18)

Ordinances:  We believe in the observance of the ordinances of our Lord Jesus Christ, which are (1) water baptism of believers as a public profession of faith in Christ, and (2) communion which is a remembrance of Christ’s death on our behalf until He comes again. (Matthew 28:18-20; I Corinthians 11:23-26)

Satan: We believe in his existence and personality as the great adversary of God's people, his judgment and final doom (Revelation 12:1-10; John 12:31; Revelation 20:10)

The Second Coming: We believe in the literal, personal, visible return of Christ to remove His church from the earth; a literal seven years of tribulation after which He will descend with His church to establish His millennial kingdom upon the earth. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Daniel 9:24-27; Revelation 20:2-6)

Future Life:  We believe in the conscious existence of the dead; the resurrection of the body; the judgement and reward of believers; the judgement and condemnation of unbelievers; the eternal life of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost. (Philippians 1:22-23; Luke 16:19-31: John 5:28-29; Romans 14:10-12; II Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:11-15; John 3:16; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:15)
