Who We Are

Our Beginnings

Don Stubbs and Travis Troyer met by divine intervention. Don spent most of his adult life in Chicago working at Moody Bible Institute, Inner City Impact, and as one of the founders of GRIP Outreach for Youth. During a fundraising trip for GRIP, Don met Travis, who at the time was seeking God's direction for his life after pursuing his own dreams in the sports entertainment industry. Travis moved to Chicago to work with GRIP, and it was there that the Lord put in Don and Travis's hearts to launch a discipleship ministry. In April of 2009, they took the steps of faith. Don and Travis moved to Ohio, and Off The Wall was born. The ministry began with Don and Travis living in a house with five young men to intentionally disciple them.

Our Growth

Each new day, Off The Wall continues to strive to follow God's leading for the ministry and follow Him in all we do. God has graciously opened doors and provided for us over the years, bringing both staff and students from all over the world to join us in the mission of making passionate disciples of Jesus. We have seen former students become ministry leaders, missionaries, husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, and choose all sorts of career paths. Most importantly, we have seen them understand and live out the call of disciple-making wherever God takes them.

How did we get the name Off The Wall?

Our name comes from a former disciple of Dons.
