- Our Partner Discipleship Location is in Lexington, NC
Our NC location is a start-up community discipleship ministry led by Trent Santos. Trent is based out of Lexington, NC, which is centrally located in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina. With access to bigger cities like Winston Salem, Greensboro and Charlotte, Trent is able to offer one-on-one discipleship to young men in the area who have a desire to find their identity in the real Jesus.
- Discipleship
In NC, Trent’s focus is two-fold. First, one-on-one discipleship with young men age 18-25. This discipleship is life-on-life and personal for each student. There’s no curriculum or one-size-fits-all method of discipleship. Once Trent meets and gets to know a student, he then forms a unique and individual plan for continued discipleship for that student. One of the worst lies that young people believe especially during times of difficulty is that they’re alone. Trent wants to come alongside young men and share their burdens and remind them that they are not alone. Second, in NC, there is a focus on community discipleship. This can look different in a few ways, but generally is an opportunity for young men and women to come together in a small group for growth together. Whether it’s discussion oriented, or testimonies, or just catching up and sharing about each other’s lives, community discipleship leads to deeper relationships horizontally (with each other) while we challenge each other to grow deeper in our relationships vertically (with God).
- Get Involved in the Church
Off the Wall isn’t here to replace the local church — we’re here to help young adults dive deeper into it! Every young adult involved with Trent and OTW NC has an opportunity to step into a ministry role through our NC partner church, Two Cities Church, based out of Winston Salem. From opening doors for attendees to children’s ministry and everything in between, there’s a place for everyone to serve. Additionally, there are opportunities to connect with other families inside the church through community groups. Anyone that Trent disciples that is not already involved in a local church is encouraged to attend and serve the new Lexington Community Gathering of Two Cities Church, where Trent is also involved as the Community Gathering Coordinator.
